How We Think About Impact

When people ask about our impact, they usually expect numbers. And we do track those—students reached, sessions delivered, chapters launched, events run. That part’s easy to count.

But numbers alone don’t tell the whole story.

We care just as much about what those sessions actually do. Did a student leave more confident? Did they ask a better question the next time? Did they try again instead of giving up?

Impact isn’t only reach. It’s depth. One hour that builds real understanding is worth more than ten that don’t stick.

We also look for signs of growth that don’t show up on test scores. When a student shares something they’re proud of. When they explain a problem to someone else. When they light up because something finally makes sense.

That’s what we’re aiming for.

Our framework has two sides:

  • Scale — how many students we’re supporting, how many local teams are growing, how many touchpoints we’re creating.
  • Depth — how much a student’s confidence grows, how curious they become, how much more they believe in their ability to learn.

We ask students for feedback after every session. We read every word. Their responses guide how we teach, train, and improve.

We’re still early. The numbers will grow. But if the experience doesn’t get better too, the numbers won’t mean much.

Good impact feels personal. It sticks. It shows up in how students think, speak, and keep going.

That’s what we measure ourselves by.
