Pebble by the Numbers: Our 2024 Year in Review

This year was about building steady, meaningful momentum—and looking back, it added up fast.

We now have 10 active chapters in high schools across the country. Each one is student-led, with support systems in place for consistent meetings, workshops, and peer mentorship.

We ran 2 hackathons, both focused on real-world impact. Across both events, over 100 students participated. Many had never built a project before, and left with tools to keep building.

We launched 3 online courses, starting with Foundations in Linear Algebra. These courses are free, self-paced, and designed to support both independent learners and classroom use. The first one drops on YouTube this month.

This year also brought a wave of student-created tools—like Aesa Finance, which turns government data into plain language—and more than 40 projects shared across our platform.

In total, Pebble students logged over 1,000 volunteer hours, whether organizing clubs, mentoring peers, or helping shape new resources. That number matters. It reflects how much this is becoming student-owned.

We worked directly with 15 educators who integrated Pebble tools into their curriculum, helping shape what comes next.

The numbers are just one part of the story, but they show how fast something can grow when students lead, and when schools and mentors create space for that leadership to take root.

Thanks to every student, teacher, partner, and reader who helped make this year possible. We’re just getting started.
