Arnav Bonigala
President
Arnav founded Pebble Education to help students learn in ways that actually make sense. He’s into tech, especially AI, data, and building odd tools just for fun. He likes turning big ideas into things people can use. In the past, he has led student hackathons, built apps that solve problems, and even convinced companies to support the work. When not coding or running Pebble projects, he might be overthinking a movie plot, reading about something random, or trying to find the best chai in town.
Karthik Vattem
Chairman
At Pebble Education, Karthikeya is working to reinvent learning, especially for students who connect with unconventional explanations. He’s curious about everything, from how Linux kernels work to why certain chord progressions feel so moving. He enjoys building quirky projects that often end up being surprisingly useful. He has helped lead large education initiatives involving hundreds of volunteers and once built and test-flew a drone completely from scratch. Outside of Pebble, he might be exploring Wikipedia, contributing tech skills at his local temple, or seeing what ChatGPT is capable of.
Dan Mano
Vice President
Dan founded Pebble Education to bring clarity and curiosity back into how students learn, making them crave depth, not answers. He’s led everything from household study sessions to advanced lessons in AP Chem and Calculus mid-class. Whether in person, over Discord, or behind the scenes building educational tools, Dan’s driven by a belief that good teaching isn’t about showing off; it’s about making others better. When he’s not guiding Pebble projects or helping peers crack tough problems, he’s probably working his way around a guitar, playing his favorite games, or getting too deep in the weeds of some random chemistry fact.

Pebble Education is driven by the values of equity, empowerment, and community. We believe every student, regardless of background or resource, deserves the opportunity to explore and thrive in computer science. By funding over 200 student-led projects and partnering with educators across five states, we aim to break down barriers to access and nurture creativity, confidence, and real-world impact. Our hackathons embody our belief in collaborative learning, giving students the space to innovate, support one another, and grow as changemakers in tech.
